There are many opportunities to spend your time in the area. Would you like to go fishing? At the reception you can buy fishing permits for lake Långsjön (pike, perch, etc.) and / or for waters with noble fish. Rent a motorboat, rowing boat or canoe and discover the beautiful nature. Choose “your” island for a leisurely picnic. Do you want to go swimming? Our small bay or the public bathing area are ideal. Would you like to explore the area? You can go on nice excursions with our bicycles. You can get maps of cycling and hiking trails from us and explore the area on your own. In the middle of our campsite there is a barbecue area with a fireplace for family picnics and nice barbecues.

The small port town “Västervik” and the famous Astrid Lindgren town “Vimmerby” with the family park “Astrid Lindgren Värld”, the “Astrid Lindgren Näs” and many beautiful narrow streets are only a few kilometers away from our campsite and invite you to take a day trip. The “Elk Park Virum” is definitely worth a visit. There you can get very close to the kings of the forest and feed or even stroke them. If you are interested in trains, you will surely also enjoy the old narrow-gauge railway, which stops at the campsite several times a day in the high season. In summer, the rail buses run between “Hultsfred” and “Västervik”. Drive all the way or just take a shorter drive. Relax with light refreshments on board as the voyage reveals the many views.

Who doesn’t know him: Michel from Lönneberga, the famous rascal from Astrid Lindgren’s books. The Katthult farm is only a few kilometers away from us. Katthult farm is the location where the famous Michel movies were filmed. You can discover the different places, meet the farm animals, and have a nice picnic.

Those who like it more adventurous will get their money’s worth in the “Vimmerby Adventure Climbing Park”. A total of eight different trails with different levels of difficulty offer fun for everyone from beginners to experts.
